Insights into Infra-Sharing

Infra-Sharing is a new initiative that has just started in full swing in Japan.
Through this column, we would like to provide a variety of information, including basic information, market environment, market conditions in Japan and overseas, and movements of the government and local governments, in order to encourage understandings of Infra-Sharing.

What is Infra-Sharing?

The introduction of Infra-Sharing enables MNO to share the network facilities that previously had been installed separately, and more efficient network development can be realized by reducing the cost of equipment, operation and maintenance. In addition, since power consumption, materials and the number of construction works can be reduced, Infra-Sharing also leads to a reduction in environmental impact.
