JTOWER continues the business alliance with Mitsubishi HC Capital, promoting indoor and outdoor Infra-Sharing
JTOWER Inc. (JTOWER) announces the continuation of the business alliance with Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. (Mitsubishi HC Capital) which was concluded in June 2020.
JTOWER and Mitsubishi HC Capital entered into the capital and business alliance agreement in June 2020, aiming the promotion of Infra-Sharing. The two companies have been working on promoting indoor Infra-Sharing utilizing the customer base of Mitsubishi HC Capital.
Additionally, JTOWER has expanded outdoor tower-sharing business since 2020, actively pursuing the acquisition of communication towers from telecom operators including NTT DOCOMO (carve-out), alongside the construction of its own towers, while also strengthening the operational structures. Mitsubishi HC Capital has invested in a special purpose company established by JTOWER and the two companies have been strengthening collaboration for outdoor tower sharing.
JTOWER plans to go private in January 2025, however, JTOWER and Mitsubishi HC Capital have agreed to continue their business alliance and signed a memorandum of understanding.
Specific details in this business alliance are as follows.
– Promotion of indoor Infra-Sharing business through the development of installation sites.
– Promotion of outdoor tower sharing business through the development of new tenants and the exploration of new businesses.
– Examination and promotion of necessary financing schemes for JTOWER’s various services.
Through the business alliance, JTOWER and Mitsubishi HC Capital will work on further promoting Infra-Sharing, contributing to the resolution of social issues including the early deployment of new communication bases and the reduction of cell signal dead zone.
